Time and Inspiration – Celandreia, Wisdom’s Weaver, Goddess of Time and Inspiration

Emerging from the rifts torn in time and space by the entity known as the Enigma came Celandreia, Wisdom’s Weaver. Celandreia delights in observing mortals as they leave their patterns in the fabric of reality though she seldom interferes herself, content to weave their stories into the tapestries of existence on her great loom. Known to take the form of an often-veiled siriyu woman, Celandreia appears wearing one of three visages: those of a young child, a fair maiden, and a wrinkled crone.

As the avatar of time and inspiration, Celandreia’s domain includes the study of lore, history, and prophecy. She is most concerned with deep, contemplative thought of what has happened in the past and values wisdom over intellect. She seeks to guide mortals in using knowledge of what has come before to shape actions in the present and future. As the goddess of inspiration, Celandreia also oversees creative efforts and is seen as a divine muse. She favors the colors blue and silver and her symbols are the white lotus, the hourglass, and adornments of thread.

Celandreia welcomes those of all races and alignments save for the flighty johgo. Those of chaotic ethos may also have trouble finding her favor as they tend toward impulsiveness. Celandreia is the patron god of storytellers and bards, valuing those who seek to dispense knowledge rather than hoard it. Enchanters are likely to find favor easily with Celandreia as she values their skills as craftsmen. Those who seek creativity and would learn from the lessons of the past would do well to follow Lady Time.

Celandreia holds no distaste for any of the other gods as she is their record keeper and weaves the stories of their actions with the warp and weft of existence and time. She feels a strong affinity for Chirondin as their domains both encompass knowledge and shares a kinship with Lyseri as they both see great use for artifice and deliberation. Sannhet’s capriciousness and Iskvarren’s chaotic nature often put them at odds. Celandreia also enjoys confounding Dulon’s games of chance when the opportunity arises.
